Our Story

When Dr. Jessica Gaulton faced postpartum depression after the birth of her daughter, she experienced firsthand what too many new mothers endure: fragmented care, long wait times, and a healthcare system that wasn't designed to support women’s mental health. As a neonatologist, she knew there had to be a better way.

FamilyWell was built on a simple but powerful insight: integrate mental health support directly into OB/GYN care using collaborative care billing codes. This model means patients receive high quality, insurance-covered support, while providers can deliver comprehensive care that's both clinically effective and financially sustainable.

Today, FamilyWell partners with leading women’s health practices and health systems to deliver evidence-based mental health support throughout the full reproductive lifecycle from fertility through menopause, improving outcomes for women and families nationwide. We’re on a mission to fundamentally transform how OB/GYN and mental health care work together - and we’re just getting started.
